IN MEMORY OF LITTLE “SAMBO.”
On Friday, June 25, the Angel of
Death came into our community and car
rieil away little Frank Leo Wood. Littlo
Sambo, ’ ’ as ho was called, wgs 2 years
obi. Ho was a bright, sweet* loving
little boy, and a great pleasure to mother,
duddy, “Undo Otis,” and everyone who
know him. Although our baby is gone,
ho will never bo forgotten. We know ho
is now a little angel in heaven, because
he knew nothing of the ains^of the
world. He is bottor off than ho would
have been had he stayed here. But, O
how hard it is to give him up I He was
such a ploasure, and there will always
be a vacant place in the home, that can
not bo filled bocauso of hia absence. We
can And comfort only ih the word of
God. “The Lord gave, and the Lord
takoth away; blessed be the name of
tho Lord.”
The body was taken to Providence
church, whore funeral sorvices were con
ducted hy Rev. F. J. Amis and Rov. W.
K. Fullor. The remains were laid away
there.
Although his body is beneath the sod,
his soul is sufe in the arms of Jesus.
