Friends of Rev, J. 0. Cninp will re
gret to lenrn of the death of Ms wife,
which occurred a few dnys ago at their
home in the For West. She will be ro-
memberccl hero ns the daughter of the
late Milos Jones. Mrs. Win. Gay. of
Sharpsburg, n sistor of deceased, is the.
only member of the original Jones family
now living. Mrs. Camp was a splendid
woman, a thorough Christian, and loved
by all who know her.
We wero called to Whitewater chinch
on Tuesday of last weok to conduct the
funeral of Mr. Jas. Nations, an old rcBi-
dont of that community, his death occur
ring In the 91st year of his age. He was
ono of Fayotte’s best citizens, a Con'
federate Veteran, and a devout member
of the Baptist church. Going through
Whitewater cemetory we noted tho rest
ing place of n number of people at whose
funerals we officiated over fifty yeurs
ago. We have baptized and buried many
dear friends during the long span of
years allotted to us, but our race is
nearly run, and the time drawetli nigh
when the “scenes that know ns now will
know us no more forever.”

and' Miss Norma Jones. A' tempting
three-course luncheon was sorved. The
guests included Mrs. Aull, Mrs. J. B.
Shell, jr„ Mrs. R. W. Adamson, Mrs. R.
T. Moses, Mrs. L. T. Moses, Mrs. J. B.
Shell, sr., Miss Iula Page, Miss Nora
Paigo and Miss Rebio Reeso, of Turin,
and Mrs. Leo Hand, Mrs, Blanclio Moses
and Mrs. V. B. Ingram, jr., of Sonoia.
After the luncheon the entire party mo
tored to Newnan and “took in” the
movies, thus ending a delightful day.
Mrs. C. A. Hubbard, of Cornelia, is
on a visit to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J,
B. Shell, jr.
Miss Mary Shell has returned from a
delightful visit to the mountains of North
Georgia.
The many friends of Mrs JS. 0. Linch
and Miss Frances Gray regrot to
them leave for their new home at Lako
Charles, La. Their going away is a
loss to tho community, but the beBt wishes
of everyone follow them.
Interesting revival services aro ill prog
ress at the Methodist church here this
week. Dr. Rembert G. Smith, of New-
nan, is doing the preaching.
