to an operation for appendicitis Tuesday

Air. David C. Neely, one of Coweta's
old and honored citizens, died Salurdny
night at the home of bin daughter, Mrs.
Roxio McDonald, In the Sixth district
aged 88 years. Ho was a veteran of the
Civil War, having enlisted ns a member
of Co. D, Phillips' Legion, (enlenry,)
shortly after the outbreak of hostilities,
and ids death is much lamented by Ids
old war comrades. He is survived by
his aged wife and two children—Mrs.

Another daughter, Mrs. W. J. Wood, of
Slinrpsbnrg, died two years ago. The

Oowotn Cotton Oil Oo. to build a-potato
curing plant, provided the fanners of
the county would pledge a sufficiently
large acreage in potatoes to warrant the
venture. The proposition will l'onmfu
open until Saturday, March 5. If the
requisite guarantees have not been re
ceived by. that date the offer will lie
withdrawn and the project abandoned.'
