One of the most enjoyable affairs
among the school sot was the “prom”
party at which MisB Katherine Pnssolt
was hostess Tuesday evening, at her home
on Greenville street. Punch was served
on the lawn, which was brilliantly lighted
for the occasion,’' and at a late hour
other refreshments were enjoyed. The
guests included Miss Aelisa Lyon, of
Birmingham, Ala,, Miss Elisabeth Rich
ards of Decatur, Miss Edna Harris of

the uddition is completed the hotel will

ty of Miss Joe Swint, and since it wan

at a six-course luncheon, given in honor
of Mrs, T, J. Jones, who leaves today

tour of Canada and Europe. The beauti

similar trip, were honor guests at an
elaborate luncheon given by Mrs. H. A.
Hall on Thursday of last weok. The
dining table had as a central decoration
a bowl of sweet peas, and the place-cards
were miniature ships with “bon-voyage”
messages for the guests of honor. Cov
ers were laid for twelve.

Tuesday evening for their rook club, at
the Country Club. Supper was served
in the'grill room, each table having as
a central decoration a basket of snap
dragons. Four courses were served, after
which rook was enjoyed. Guests inclu
ded only the club members and their-hus
bands.

party Friday evening at the home of her
uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cnmp,
on Greenville street, about fifty guehts
being invited. Garden flowers decorated
the house mid porches. At a late hour
refreshments were served.
