By the time thiB lettor reaches a major-
ty of your renders the great State of
Georgia will have changed executives—
whether for better or worse, remains to
be Been. Promises of numerous reforms
lmvo been nuulc by the incoming Gov
ernor, and wo shall anxiously await their
fulfillment. Wo think the retiring Gov
ernor hns dono what he thought was host
for the State, and if ho failed in his
efforts it was not because his intentions
were not good.
Coweta is fortunate in having two
good men to represent us in the Legis
lature. Wo have tlio fullest confidence
in Berryman Thompson and Litt Jones,
and feel sure they will render useful ser
vice to their constituents.
We have rocoived from County School
Superintendent Starr what purports to
be a map of the Starr school ditrict, and
which ho claims shows whore the district
lines are located. The nnmes of all
legnl voters in the district are given also,
according to his report. Now, there are
a number of negrooB in the district qunl
ified to vote, nnd we wonder if tliolr
names apponr on tho list and if they
will be allowed to vote in tho proposod
bond election. It is deplored by a num
ber of good citizens that this matter has
been thrust upon them without having
a chance to bo heard before the County
School Board. A bonded debt of $10,-
000 is a big sum to saddla upon the tax
payers of tho district, which is to run
17 yoars upd bear interest from Oct. 1
at 7 por cent. There are four good
