The series of meeting^ at the Meth
odist and Baptist churches here, which
have just closed, resulted In the addition

The Moreland ball team is now claim
ing the county championship, basing this
claim upon tlneo spectacular wallops to
its credit, in one week. On Tuesday,
Aug„ 2d, Moreland bent Mountvillo 25
to 1, on the home grounds, and two days
Inter played Mountvillo a return game
with equally calamitous results for the
latter. Saturday the Madras team went
to Moreland for a game and got “skim
sknndlous, ’ ’ making only 5 runs to 2d
for tl»«f homo team. The season will
eloqo tomorrow, when Moreland will play
Manchester at that place. Mr. J. P.
Camp is manager of the Moreland team,
and; believes his huskies can lick any
combination of ball-batters in the county.
