Fuller, beloved companion of Rev, W, E. On Friday night last an automr.lillo carrying four or five men drove up to the home of Calvin Alexander, white, in the-Seventh district,, took him off about 9 miles, arid, after administering a se- vore whipping, turned him loose to find bis way back home the best ho could. According to report, tho night-riders other • misconduct in the community. Alexander was la the city Monday, and is understood to be deeply outraged at the rough treatment to which ho was subjected. If he recognized any of his assailants he did not divulge their names, nor is it known whether he will take legal action against the parties.
