P. A. C Moreland, Gil. OBITUARY. On Oct. 1, 1921, the Grim Reaper in vnded our community and clnlomd the gentio spirit of Mr. S. H. Todd. He imd boon n pationt sufferer for several months, but bore his afflictions with Christian fortitude, being wholly resign ed to the will of ids Muster. He often told Ills loved oucb that he did not fear death—tlint nil wns well with him. Wo had known Bro. Todd for a num ber of years, nnd always found him rendy nnd willing to lend a helping hand to .his fellow-man, though modest and unassuming in his beneficences. Only those who have passed through a like sorrow nan sympathize with the lonely widow and children, for ho was a de voted husband and father. But woep not, griof-gtrickon ones, nud put your trust in tho Giver of all good, for “tho Lord glvath and tho Lord tnkoth away.” Bro. Todd was born Juno 27, 185(5; wns married to Miss Sallio Smith on June 26, 1879. To this union ten chil dren wore born, seven of whom survive him, viz: Luther, Leon, Leonard, Mrs. Pearl Pitts, Mrs. Willis Couch, Mrs. Irono Hammett and Miss Belle Todd. Bro. Todd joined Ebcnozer Baptist church in August, 1902, and lived a con sistent Christian life thereafter. He was loyal to Ids county, State nnd church, so in Ills going away the community in which lie lived has sustained a great loss.
