Mr. Jim Eeid, of Fail-burn, visited* his sister, Mrs. M. B. Mo'ore, Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Sprayberry en tertained with a ’possum dinner on Thanksgiving Day. Those enjoying their hospitality were Mr. and Mrs. Brndy Sprayberry and children, Mrs. A1 Sew ell and children, Misses Annie Lou Dukfcs, Erma ,Lou Brimer, Pearl Smith and Katie Brimer. The infant daughter of Mr; aiurMrs. Tommie Smallwood is reported quite sick at this writing. Miss Estelle Alexander spent the past week with Mrs. Paul Wortham, in New- nan. Mr. Victor L. Williams, of Locust Grove Institute, and Mr. F. McDavis, of Toccoa, wore guests of ’ Mr. Harry V. Smith for the week-end. MT. CARMEL. Everybody is making good use of tho cold weather which came Sunday night, find several line bogs have been killed. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. 'Story and chib drim, of Honiewood, spent Thanksgiving with Mr. M, R. Story and family. Misses Annie Mae and Mary Story and Miss Inez. Turner were present at tho graduation of tho Canning Club girls in Newnan on Saturday last. Miss Henson, of Carroll county, is visiting her brother, Mr. Brook Henson, this week. Mr. J, W, Story spent a fow days in Newnan' last week with his sister, Mrs. Grady Robison. Mr. W. W. Robison and soil, Lon, of Newnan, spent Thursday with Mr. M, R. Story and family. Mrs. C. F. Wood and children, of Welcome, spent Tuesday with Mrs. J. E, Wood. Jjhnm ami Byrnm Henson spent the week-end with their grandparents in Car- roll county. MILLS CHAPEL. , Overcoats and wraps have been very popular since the cold snap came. Mr. Arnold Jackson and Miss Opal Broom, two of our most popular young people, were quietly ‘married last Sun day. The 18-months’ old son of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Dingier died Monday morning, af ter several days of severe suffering, and the little body was laid to rest Tuesday in Oak Hill cemetery. The griefstricken family have the deepest sympathy of their many friends. Mrs. W. j. JHouseworth has been on the sick Hat for several days. Rev. Gr. W. Jones will fill his regular appointment at Mills Chapel next Sat urday night and Sunday. Everybody in vited to meet with us. The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Long died suddenly Tuesday morning. His death was a great shock to the heart broken parents, as tho child only lived abo^it one hour after being stricken. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community. We will have an interesting program at Mills Chapel on Sunday night, Dec. 11, for Orphans’ Home day. Everybody cordially invited. Pull .for Newnan.
