C. Mc Bride, president County Club; Miss Lo- rine Collins, county home demonstration agent; Mr. B. M. Drake, county agent; Mrs. Bessie Stanley Wood, assistant State agent from the College of Agri culture, Athens; Hon. J. M. Starr, County Superintendent of Schools; Mias Olivia Young. The color-scheme of pink and white was carried tifi't in the decora tions, the after-dinner mints being also pink and white. Doylies and place-cards designed by the club girls, and bearing the club emblem, were used. The place- cards carried appropriate verses, the reading of which furnished much amusement. The guests wero served fay two popular club girls, Miss Lizzio Warren, of Sargent, and Miss Louise Sewell, of Eoscoe. Mrs. N. E. Powol and Mrs. J. E. Dent wero joint hostesses at rook Tuesday afternoon at the Country Club.' The club- rooms wero beautifully decorated for the occasion with baskets of yellow and white chrysanthemums. Autumn leaves and pink roses were used on the ipnntols. Mrs. l’owel received her guests wear ing a gown of robin ’s-egg blue Canton crepe; Mrs. Dent’s gown was a handsome black lace over blue. The prizes / wore Dresden baskets filled with pink rosos. Mrs. P. L. Stevens won first prize, and Mrs. Paul Mnngot drew the consolation. After the game a delicious salad couvbo was' served. Guests for twelve tables were invited. Miss May Cole entertained her bridge club Wednesday afternoon, at her home on E. Broad street. After the gome a dainty salad course was served at the small card tables. The guests included Mrs. Walter Hopkins, Mrs. Leroy Mann, Mrs. Eobt.
