Mr. Hugh Bridges, of Nownnn, was hero Sunday afternoon. The Thanksgiving service at the church here Wednesday night were greatly en joyed by everyone ptesent. After songs and recitations by the school children n splendid address was made by, Col. Sidney Camp, of Newnan. A number of our people attended the exercises rendered by the Canning Clyb girls at the high school auditorium in Newnan Saturday morning, nnd were much pleased. Certificates were present ed to six of tlio club girls who have com pleted four years’ work in the Canning Club. Of the six girls referred to three belong to the Sargent club, viz: Misses Deane Bridges, Grace Bridges and An nie Lou McBurnett. Tta certificates were presented the girls by Mrs. Bessie Stanley Wood, assistant, State supervi sor of girls’ club work. Mrs. Wood also made an inspiring talk that was greatly enjoyed. Miss Grace Bridges spent the week end at Welcome.’ Mr. and Mrs. Luther Watkins and daughters, Clara and Glenn, from near Grantville, spent Sunday night with Mr. and Mrs, Milton Harris. Mr. Ray Warren, Miss Lueile San ders,. Miss Florine Carmical, Messrs, Whit Holeman, Oliver Gentry, Ernest Stroud nad Bill Holeman attended the play given at Roscoe Saturday night.
