The former home of some of the excursionists, and the original Couuty Site of Campbell county. The party was intended for a fishing excur sk'U, but on eutering that once gay and pros perous little place, all ideas of big fish in the Chattahoochee left their minds, and the orig inal FuirburniteH fell into the same strain of the old Ompbelltonites and they turned it into a general pic-nic, and fun concern. Arid we understood that the Old Court House was the general resort for fun Music dancing c+c. On last Monday we took dinner at the Pal- Yirtfcto Hotel, kept by Mrs- Smith, and must *i.y that we met with better fare than has been our fortune to rawt with at most of the hotels in Georgia and would recommend all risking Palmetto to call on Mrs. S. and get y, .*od «üb*tantiai fare and accommodations. While at Palmetto a few days ago we were shown a fine specimen of blue grass and clo ver reined by Mr. Wm Walthall of that place. Mr. Walthall informed us that the ground on v hich the clover was raised was poor aver age lands for that section and where the fcrase was grown was only slightly enriched «ftuaed from the protection of a fence row. Faded or gray hair it toott rtttortd to its original color, trith the gloss and freshness of youth, Tltin hair ie thick ened, falling hair checked, and bald ness often, though not always, cured by its use. Nothing can restore the hair where the follicles are destroy cl, or the glands atrophied and decayed. But such as remain can be saved for usefulness by this application. Instead of fouling the hair with a pasty sedi ment, it will keep it clean and vigorous. Its occasional use will prevent the hair from turning gray or falliug off, six! consequently prevent baldness. Free from these deleterious substances which make some preparations dangerous, and injurious to the hair, the Vigor can only benefit but not harm it. If wanted merely for a HAIR DRESSING, nothing else can lie found so desirable. Containing neither oil nor dyo, it doss not soil white cambric, and yet lasts long on the hair, giviug it a rich, gioesy lustre aud a grateful perfume. Prepared by Dr, J. C. Ayer’s Sarsaparilla, won PiniFTUG THUS BLOOD, The reputation this ex* cellent medicine enjoys, is derived from ita cures, as niany of which are truly ,/Y ».-g marvellous. Inveterate Jr cases of Scrofulous dh>» U Hit ease, where the system J' rri seemed saturated with corruption, ha> e l» puriilcii aud cured by It. I* i_ Scrofulous affections aii l vJY ' disorders,w hich wore atf eravated by the scrofu* lOUB contamination tuitU they were painfully afflicting, have been radwally cured In such great numbers in almost every seo tion of tlie country, tliat the public scarcely need to be informed of its virtues or nsea. Scrofulous poison is one of the most dc-tmo tivo enemies Os our race. Often, this unseen and unfelt tenant of the organism undermines the con stitution, and invites the attack of enfeebling or fe tal diseases, without exciting a suspicion of its Srescuce. Again, it seems to breed infection uougliout the body, and then, ou some favorabld occasion, rapidly develop into one or other of it * hideous forms, either on the rnrfarn nrnpniwfr.*tor vitals. In the Utter, tubercles may be suddenly deposited in tlie lungs or heart, or tumors formed in the liver, or it shows its presence by eruptions ou tho skin, or foul ulcerations on some part of Die body. Hence the occasional use of a Lottie of this Sarsaparilla is advisable, even when no active symptoms of disease appear. Persons af flicted with the following complaints generally lino immediate relief, and, at length, cure, by the use of this SAJtSAVARILLA: St. Antho ny's Fire, Rose or Urf/Aii/xTa*, Tettrr, Sait Rheum, Scald Head, Rinptcorm, Sorr Ryes, Sore Mars, and other ernptionu or visible forma of Scrofulous disease. Also in the more con cealed forms, as J>yspcpsia, Dropsy, Heart Disease, Fits, Epilepsy, Xcuralyia, and the various Vlcerous affections of tho muscnlar and nervous systems. Syphilis or Venereal and Hercurial Dis eases are cured by it, though a long time is re quired for subduing there obstinate maladies by any medicine. But long-continued use of tht® medicine will cure the complaint. JLeueorrhcc a or Whites, Uterine Ulcerations, and Rentals Diseases, are commonly soon relieved and ulti mately cured bv its purifying and invigorating effect. Minute directions for each case are found in our Almanac, supplied gratis. Rheumatism and Oout, when caused by accumulations of c*. traileous matters in the blood, yield quickly to it, a8 also Liver Complaints. Torpidity, Conges tion or lit {lam motion of the i.iver, and «7 afen dice. when arising, as they oiten do, from the rankling poisons m the blood. Thin SARSA» PARILLA is a great restorer for the stmrgth and vigor of the system. Those who arc Lan guid anil J.istless, Despondent, Sleepless, and troubled with \errous Apjurchensians *r Rears, or any of the affections symptomatic of Weakness, will find immediate relief and con vincing evidence of its restorative power upon trial.
