MM All Signs Point One Success
IIP TO DATE! IN REALITY AS WELL AS ON PAPER.
Our tools wero selected and m auy of them designed especially for our work, and
this, together with tho faot that we are located in the heart of a territory abounding in
the best iron aud lumber in the world, gives us the lead over all of our competitors.
The Georgia yellow pine, celebrated throughout the country; Alabama pig iron that has
no superior, and Pennsylvania steel is used exclusively in the manufacture of our saw
and grist mills, water wheels and baling presses. With these natural advantages coupled
with the superior mechanism of our work, which has, in a very brief period, made them
famous throughout the land, wo would prove ourselves very unbusiness-liko wore we to
fail to turn out a high grade of work. But appreciating the value of exactness in exe¬
cution, as well as tho importance of having the best materials, wo have continually
forged ahead with the determination to establish a saw mill trade as broad as the conti¬
nent. We have faith in the idea that when a saw mill man of mechanical sense discov¬
ers a mill possessing merit in all of its parts, that though he may live many thousand
miles from the manufacturers, he will have it. The wisdom of this policy has been am¬
ply verified by tho fact that we have for several years been shipping constantly to Wash¬
ington, Oregon, California, all of the Northwestern States as well as Southern and East¬
ern, and in many instances to foreign countries. In one case we shipped a mill to Prince
Albert, Northwest Territory, Canada, the purchaser paying the freight from Atlanta, 30
per cent, duty and hauled the mill across the mountains by private conveyance 275
miles. In thus shipping mills over such broad territory, we have ample opportunity of
receiving ‘‘advice’’ and criticism which has always been “thankfully received” and often
used, greatly to our advantage. All of our mills are now made from entirely new pat¬
terns much heavier than formerly, and we confidently assert that they will run for years
without repairs, except in instances of gross cure essness. We do not think it boasting
to claim that we have developed more substantial improvement in light aud medium saw
machinery than any other concern in this country if not all of them put together. We make all
sizes and many styles, anything to suit the buyer. Kememlier this and write for prices.
Our line of grinding mills is unsurpassed, and they possess some features of special
merit that gives them preference whenever fully understood. We manufacture three
different styles of turbine water wheels. The “Hungry Elephant” Baling Press and a
general line of mill gearing, shafting, pulleys, etc. We will make prices to suit the
times and solicit correspondence and trade from all quarters with assurance of prompt,
careful and competent service.
We Pay the Freight and Guarantee the Work Prices Reduced.
No matter what kind of a mill or machine you want, write us. If we do not make
it, we will tell you where to get it and make no charge for our services.

The DeLoacIi Patent Variable Friction Feed Saw Mill.
Single and Double, ranging from 4 to 200 horse power, aud for all kinds of work. We
make an ABSOLUTE GUARANTEE that these mills will cut 500 feet of board lumber in
ten hours to every one horse power used. It is a frequent occurrence for customers to write
saying they cut 8,000 feet board lumber in 10 hours with 10 horse power,
smaller and larger powers in proportion. We sell as high as ONE HUNDRED saw mills
per month, in addition to our trade, aud we challenge any concern in the UNITED
STATES to make an equal good showing. This rushing demand was created by Real
Merit, and necessitated the erection of the largest and best equipped saw mill plant in the world,
occupying 49,000 feet of floor space in one building alone. We claim to bo decidedly ahead
in small and medium saw mills, and UP TO DATE in large mills and supplies, and we are
prepared, to substantiate what we claim. Write for prices. Remember that we pay the freight.

It has lightning speed and will pull anything you hitch to it. The concave friction transmits 40fi per cent, more power thau other frict¬
ion feeds of equal weight and cost. It can be easily attached to any make of mill by giving diameter of saw mandrel and rack pinion shaft, so
as to bore the two large pulleys to fit. The large surplus of frictional surface provides for a perfect variation of the carriage, at will, by vari¬
ation of tension on hand lever. This complete regulation is greatly facilitated by the rocker motion of the top half of frame. THIS FEED is
a MONEY MAKER, in that, it simply does the work, and never breaks down. Made to suit 50 to 200 horse power, and larger, and prices to suit
the times. For smaller (than 50 horse) power we build a disc feed, called our “Hermes,” in separate iron frame, at a very moderate cost. No
lumberman can afford to be without a modern feed. It will pay for itself in a week’s time. Sales to responsible parties, made subject to a thor¬
ough test before payment is made; this, too, on a warranty that we will furnish just what you need. Send for prioes, and be sure to give length
of carriage, and amount of power used, and whether rack and pinion or rope is used.

Above Represents our 42-Inch Top-Runner Geared Mill with Idler Pulley and Small Fan.
The Virginia is harder and tougher than other stones, making it hold the dress longer, doing more work in that it stays sharp longer, and is
consequently more durable. It is the only stone we know of that will successfully stand the high speed and pressure of an under-runner mill.
We have used it for several strong"guarantee, years for this purpose, and, from the testimony of customers published herewith, it wili be observed that we take no
risk in making a very which is as follows: “To auy responsible party we will ship any size mill, from 20 to 48 inches, (20, 24
and 30 under-runner) warranted to yield a satisfactory capacity of the very best table meal. If it fails to perform as stated, or to be satisfactory
in any particular, to be returned at ouv expense. Of course small mills having to run faster than large ones to give same capacity can’t be expec¬
ted to lost as long, but the quality of the work claimed can be relied upon with safety.
No other concern makes an under-runner mill under such a guarantee as above. Both under-runner and top-runner mills have metal bushes
with oil fountain attached by which the spindle has uniform lubrication and not allowed to heat. The adjustments for top and bottom end of
spindle are thorough and convenient.
