MYSTIC DOTS.
•o
The prosperous little town of
Mystic, which six month) ago
could not show a single house, now
has two residences, tvro open stores
and a third one to open in a few
days, one saw mill and a handsome
depot. For a half mile on one
aide, lots are surveyed ready for
Bale and people are buying rapidly.
Those who want to make invest¬
ments could make none better than
purchasing property in Mystic,
which, though in its infancy, prom¬
ises to be one of wire grass Geor-
gias’s loading towns in the near
fature. Several hundred families
are expected here soon. W.

I am in the Berrien county part
of the Brushy Greek county. The
crons are very good; the cotton
crop is fully half open and is being
gathered very rapidly.
Among the best farmers in Berrien
is J. B Luke, who has the best
corn, peas snd potatoes I have
Been. Fred Purvis is also a fine
farmer, both of them will grade
J00. John McMillan is another fine
farmer, In has the finest lot of hay
J nave seen, cut and hauled in,
I was at church at Flat Creek last
Bunday ; heard good sermons from
Elders, Harden, Gibbs and Gaston
Miss Olive M. Paulk and Charlie
Daniels, of Coffee county, were
severely hurt by a runaway mule.
J made a effort on this trip in
Berrien, at doing some courting,
but made a failure at the start, so
J will not explain, as Henry and
M. T. Paulis tells all about it,

ABBA. HEARD FROM
(From our regular torretpondeni.)

Miss Lizzie Fussell, who has
been here on an extended visit,
returned to her home at Curdele,
last Monday.
W. J. Robitzach made a trip to
Savannah, recently, where be re¬
mained a few days attending to
business.
Mrs. Davis, of this neighborhood
died on the 97, ult. at the advan¬
ced age of 89 years. She appeared
to be in her usual health until four
hours before her death.
Fate Robitzsch is io a bappv
mood over the sudden appearance
of a little stranger at his home—
It ’« a bouncing boy,
Mr. John A. Wooten, of Mont¬
gomery conntv, stopped with us
for a while a few days since. He
is a candidate for the senate from
this district and is now canvassing
Irwin county.
Charlie Dement and Walter
R dii'zsch were among the number
from here who attended preaching
ai Big Creek church last Sunday.
Jt if intimated that they paid
more stientlnn to s couple of gir.'e
present than they did to the ser¬
mon.
Mr. J. J. Lee of lr«vinvill«, w*s
shaking hands with his mam
friends here one day last week. If
the other voters of the oounty were
inclined as we a r e, there would be
no doubt ns to his scouring the
office to wbioh he aspires.
——Greatly Enjoyed——
The most enjoyable social affair
that has ooourred here for quite a
while was the musical entertain¬
ment which took place at the
home ot Mr. and Mrs, W. H ibilz
sch on the evening of the 22, ult.,
the occasion being the closing
exercises of Miss Lizzie FuseeU’r
music school. The parlor was
specially beautified for the event
with elaborate floral decoration
which compared favorably with
the pretty girls who were attired
in white, the whole making an
interesting and enchanting scene.
The exercises of the evening com
uienced when, as Miss Lizzie
Fussell began the rendition on the
organ of that familiar piece,
“Near the cross.” Ovid Henderson;
bearing a large cross artistically,
made of flowers and evergreen,
entered the room, closely foiliwed
by Misses Minnie Fussell, Katit
Robitzsch, Nina Henderson, Johnit
R >bitzsch and several others.
When these young people (Miss
Fussell’s pupils) reached tin
organ, they began to sing the song
above mentioned, which was ren-
iered in a very pleasing manner,
Toere were besides singing and
instrumental music, numerous
recitations by the young folks.
Refreshments that were decidedly
templing were served at the propei
ime which added materially to
the succiss of the occasion. A,R.

A CHANCE TO MAKE MONEY.
I have berries, grapes and peaches, a
year old, fresh as when picked. 1 use
the California Cold press, do not heat or
seal the fruit, just put it up cold, keeps
perfectly fresh, and costs almost nothing
can put up a bushel in ten minutes. Lasi
veck I sold directions to over 120 fam¬
ilies; anyone will pay a dollar for direc¬
tions, when they see the beautiful sam¬
ples of fruit. As there are many people-
poor like myself, 1 consider it my duty
to give my experience to sucli. and feel
contident any ope can make one or two
(iundred dollars round homo in a few
days. I will mail sample of fruit and
complete directions, to any of your rea¬
ders, for eighteen two-cent stamps,
which is only the actual cost of the sam¬
ples, postage, etc., to me.
