Iron Witter,a.
New Life
is given by using Brown's
Iron Bitters. In the
Winter it strengthens and
warms the system; in the
Spring it enriches the blood
and conquers disease; in the
Summer it gives tone to the
nerves and digestive organs;
in the ball it enables the
system to stand the shock
of sudden changes.
In no way can disease be
so surely prevented as by
keeping the system in per
fect condition. Brown’s
Iron Bitters ensures per
' feet health through the
changing seasons, it disarms
the danger from • impure
water and miasmatic air,
and it prevents Consump
tion, Kidney and Liver Dis
ease, &c.

I suppose your readers hare no

; He said in one of his speeches,

powder booms, etc., etc., in antici
pation of a rising, aid paid his res
pects particularly to the churches
ar.d t newpapers, which institutions
were run in the interests of.capi

Mr. Editor, is not such a charac

doc'ritie ridiculous and prepnster

j edly i» a “blood and thunder"
j Communist, He is the hnhgobiin

Skelly, the Celtic ‘Sandlot orator,’

He deals absolutely in fire and
brimstone. Ilia nostrils smoke
with wrath. He f-irlv wahows hi
allegoric gore. Hi* coming is the
modern Atiha. He is tic giant of
the Broken,’ presaging a new
reign of Terror, and a new wn of
the guillotine days. Mr. Most is
all this —and mueb more —in his
estimation and that of his follow
ers. For all that, Ie is simply a
m st—noi somate humbug. His
absurd fulminntions are harmless,
save to himself and the poor foo's
irhu flock to hear him. That is the
j only serious side to this whole ri
dicuhiUo exhibition of rant and
r im. That a German renegade
or any other renegade, foreign or
native, is allowed to make himself
a public nuisance, speaks well for
the foriearance of our people, and
the wonderful toughness of our
Democratic institutions. This fel
low would not dare to wsg his un
bridled ftingue in such fashion in
any other country He would be ar
rested by the police at once. Per
haps this is the consumation he is
devoutly wishing for. He is fa
miliar with prison fare and iron
barred windows. It would be a po
litical windfall for him. It will not
happen, however, on that ground.
Come, to think of it, Mr. Most, if
bo continues his downward course,
may get the desired “incarceration

“gentry.”
Some prophet said at *bo first
of the year, that there would be a
general “break up,” last month,
and we had one. Disasters on ev

rimonial life, nltiibutiog them oil
to not staitirg riuht. 1 ntn free to
admit, that in rnygteatai dim pi r
tunt undt-rtuking l.is mot o of
starting right, is a good one to he
governed by ; and in matrimony,
the starting rQlit should be (lore,
before they aro linked togitherf. r
life. There are a great many things
tube taken into account, when we
come to sum tip what it takes to
make the monied state one of hap
piness.
The great bane of the present
ape, is the railroad speed with
which every tiling must he done.
| People must live fast, travel fust,
i get rich and marry fast. And right
here is the starting point, of all the
ills that follow in the woke of an
illy assorted pair. They do not
study the character, the temper not
disposition of the individua 1 , hut
are carried away with the charms
rs a handsome face, or a sweet
smile from beauty’s lip.*, and mar
ry they must. Suoh people find
when it is too late, that ore is net
a Godless nor tho other a
demigod. The consequences are,
notwithstanding they may occupy
a high pcsition in s> ciety—therr
home becomes a gilded, carpeted,
festooned hell of wedded misery,
a'l for the want of teste, thought
and feeling, and not for a want of
starting right, sfler marriage. Ran
dom spoto of some one in high
position, who after marl luge was
found in a uroeery, drunk at
the hour of mho-iglU. This is net
conclusive evidence of not starting
right. It only proves his own inute
cuss -duess and love of wliiskiy,
and should not boa reflection on
the good name of a virtuous lady,
I have no sympathy for wicked
ires in high places. Give to every
one whether he be prince or peas
ant, his just due.
Another cause of matrimonial
trouble is found under the paternal
roof. It is too frequently the caeo,
that parents in their eagerness to
bring their children into nutice,
commit blunders that terminate in
asdne-s nnd sorrow, The little
uiiseea of fourteen 0/ fifteen sum
tuera, before they have learned to
speak the English language corrcct
ly, must he introduced into where
they are flattered and praised, and
made to believe they ar<’ the very
embodiment of perfection; and not
unfrnqoently they meet with some
gi ded, smooth-lounged cox-cmnb,
when a private n arringe or an
elopement will be the result.
When will such folly cease.
I must close this article, or Agate
