I was on the mountain yester
day and snjoyeii myself very much,
at a little church out there, in a
meeting with them. They consti
tuted a chmeh the 31et ol May,
with several members and bapti
zed on« tbe next day, three on the
noxt fourth .Sunday and received
ous by recommendation. I also
saw something beautiful yesterdav
in ti:e way of a baptism. It was
two twin sisters bath lad to the
baptismal fount together. Tho little
church ia in n flourishing condi
tion It now numbers fifteen in
all. And afi are good workers in
tbe Musters' vineyard.

Last night was one long to be
remembered. We were threatened
with a storm all night. Theie was
tiie most'thunder and lightning lev
er saw and heard in my life. There
was a cloud past ev-r to day, ac
companied by cousideiable wind.
It plowed down corn and cotton
considerably, corn is injured right
smartly by leaning end breaking
off by the wind Crops are looking
very well owing to the work they
have had.
A visit (o Lookout mountain re
vealed to us that tlie nv-st of tbe
people are in a prosperous con
dition; good rang, fine and a
splendid crops.
I have been informed that 1 P
Battel is going to start up a steam
-aw and planing mill on the
mountain, near Valley Head. Mr,
