in the morning, by liuding a burly

The machinery being clogged with
straw, steam was abut off in older

rific explosion was beard and the
threshing apparatus waa rent into

were prostrated and Mr. Woodruff

drum was asverely injured about
the head.
A fragment of flying iron struck
him on tha chin cutting a large
hole throngb to the inside of his
mouth. Mr. WoodrufT wse for a
time uutconcious. But afier his
wounds were dressed by Dr. Tor
mil he rallie d and ia now getting
well. »
No one appears to have any well
defined conjecture respecting the
cause of the explosion. It is a
wonder that several of the hands
standing near were not killed. —
