Singleterry and sons, Elmer and King, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson and family and Miss May Bridges, of Cooper Heights, and Mr. and Mrs. Clark Singleterry and family, of Langdale, Ala., visited Ascalon and the peak, High Point, Sunday. This party was joined by Mr. and Mrs. C. A Chambers anu family, Miss Nell Chambers and Pnil Chambers and just before as cending the peak all in the party had a delightful picnic at a fine mountain spring. All enjoyed themselves greatly. Mrs. Clark Singleterry was raised in the plains of Alabama and had never visited a mountain before. She was charmed and awed by the scenery below the high cliffs. High Point enjoys the distinction of being the highest peak in Northwest Geor gia. Five or six states may easily be seen on a clear day. The stork is still actively engaged in this community. It presented Mr. and Mrs. John Henson with a fine little girl last week.
