GORDON LEE
MAKING CANVASS
Os District-In Murray and
Whitfield Last Week-
Plans For District
On the Bth of November the gen
eral congressional election will be
held. It is encumbent upon all the
democratic voters that they go out to
the polls and make lion. Gordon
lice’s vote a great deal larger than
it was in the recent primary. Gen
erally speaking, our primary election
really settles the election, but the
legal election is the one following
the primary.
Hon Gordon Lee is now meeting
his friends over the district as much
as he possibly can. He has recently
been in Whitfield and Murray coun
ties, meeting and shaking hands
with his numerous friends. He was
for two days an attendant at the
Whitfield county fair last week.
Mr. Lee has many friends in the
district and whilo they all feel abso
utely confident of his election this
should by no means deter them from
-.oirig to the polls and casting their
votes for him on November Bth. A
congressman can do more for his
constituents while in Washington if
he is holding bis seat by virture of 8
great big rousing vote. WbitGeld
county has always given Mr. Lee «
big vote and it is safe to predict that
i* will be found doing the same the
Bth of next month.
The other counties in the district
that are so strongly for Lee will cast
a big vote for him.
While here tbe other day talking
to a Citizen reporter he stated he
had in view many big things for his
constituency during the next sessions
of congress. It is during these sas
sions that he expects to get the ap
propriation from tbe government for
ibe construction of the great nation
al highway between Chattanooga and
Atlanta, connecting Cbickamauga
national military park and Fort Me
Pherson. Mr. I-ee is confident of
Walker County Messenger, October 28, I*lo
getting this appropriation and if he
is to be judged by the work he has
done in the pant bis friends feel sure
• of his success.
* Don’t fail to go out and vote for
him on November the Bth.—Dalton
Citizen.

It is so hard to part with our

God’s will and that He doeth all

but strive to meet him on the bright
eternal shore, where sorrow cannot
come, for God will wipe all tears

If women only knew the cause—
that
Back pains come from sick kid
neys,
LaFayette people endorse this:
Mrs. J. B. Watts, Chattanooga
St., LaFayette, Ga., says: “I was
afflicted with kidney trouble for six
or seven years and during that time
tried everything possible to find re
lief, but with no success. If I stood
for more than five minutes at a time,
I had a sharp pain in my back and
upon arising in the morniDg, I* felt
more tired than when I went to bed.
I also became dizzy without warn
ing and was bothered to a great ex
tent by irregular pissages of the
kidney secretions. Reading of the
many cures Doan’s Kidney Pills
were affecting in LaFayette, I de
cided to try them and procured a
box at Warthen’s Drug store. They
cured me as if by magic and re
stored me to good health.”
For sale by all dealers. Price 50
cents. Foster Milburn Co., Buffalo,

States.
