IN MEMORY
On March 19lh, 1922, God in his
Providence, called unto himself
Brother W T Goodrum, a faithful
and beloved member of the Naomi
•church. Brother Goodrum liad been
a Christian for over 25 years hav
ing joined the Kbene/.er Baptist
church and baptized upon a pro
fession of faith in 1896,
In home, business and social life
Brother Goodrum exhibited those
traits of character which always
draw and hold men as friends. His
life was full of kind and generous
deeds, showing forth always the
spirit of his Master whom it was
his delight to serve.
His last hours were full of pain
and sufferings and although cher
ishing the hope for added years of
health and happincs. lie was never
theless resigned to the will of God
and when he came lo Ihe valley of
the shadow Ihe rod and the staff
were his comfort and he passed
through without fear or shrinking
at the age of 56.
Therefore, be it resolved:
First, That we as the Naomi Bap
tist church while feering keenly the
loss, bow in humble submission to
our Father
Second, That we extend to the
members of the bereaved family our
heartfelt sympathy and love.
Third. That, copies of these reso
lutions be spread upon our records
and sent to tbe family and the
Walker County Messenger.

IN MEMORY
In the constant change from time
to eternity, friends and loved ones
are passing to the other side of the
Great Divide, and we a committee
of Naomi Baptist Church, come to
offer a tribute to the life of our
dear sister. Mrs. Louvenia Bohannon
whom the all-wise and omnipotent
God of Heaven saw tit to take from
us on Feb. 5, 1922. Slit 1 was born on
June 12, 1813.
As Miss Louvenia Martin, slie was
born in 1865, happily married lo
John C Bohannon, of Paulding coun
ty Ga. To this union came eight
children, two boys and six girls,
three of whom, one daughter and
both sons having preceded her to
the Great Beyond. Her husband al
so passed to his reward about 22
years ago.
Early in life she felt that Jesus
wanted her to come unfo Him. and
at the age of sixteen she fully sur
rendered her heart and life to Je
j sus and accepted Him as her perso
nal Savior and immediately united
| with the New Hope Baptist church
‘ in Paulding county, where her mem
bership remained until she with
j her family moved to Walker coun-
Ity about 41 years ago, when she
placed her membership .With the
Macedonia Baptist church where it
remained until 1918 when she. unit
ed with the Naomi Baptist church
and lived a loyal member till her
death.
A beautiful and useful life was
ended when God called her to that
beautiful home in Heaven to which
she so often talked of going and
there clad in shining robes of right
eousness clasp (he greeting hands
of Jesus anil her loved ones and
d\vell with them forever. What a
welcome must have been hors when
she reached that celestial city of
God.
1 Her place in our church and com
munity will he missed and wo are
saddened al (lie (bought I hat we
are to see her no more here, but our
I sorrow is mitigated by the. abiding
conviction that she has entered in
! to rest: our loss is her gain.
Therefore be it resolved bv the
