Masons of the 44th Senatorial Con-'
vention met last Saturday at Tren
' ton, Dade county, in their annual
meeting, the Masonic lodges of Dade, 1
Walker and Catoosa Counties send
t ing representatives. One of the most
enjoyable conventions yet held was i
. enjoyed and especially elaborate was j
the dinner at the noon hour prepared
by the good ladies of Trenton.
After the business of the conven
tion was ovor degree work featured
| the afternoon session.
The following officers were elected |
for the ensuing contention year: Lee
H. Dyer, of Pond Springs, W. M.; W.
A. Shaw, of Kensington, S. D.; Mr.
Wade, of Rossville, J. D., and Webb
Taturn re-elected Secretary and Treas.
Kensington was selected as the place
for holding the 1925 convention next
June.
Dr. J. H. Hammond represented
Western Lodge No. 91.

ful tribute to the life of the deceased.
! The pallbearers were Messrs Neil
; Andrews, Norman Shattuck, Harl
Jackson, Harry Center, Julian Rhyne
and Freeman McClure. Interment
took place in Concord cemetery, with
Nuekolls-Kemp-Bryan Co., in charge
of funeral arrangements.

The Young People’s Rally of the
Cherokee Presbytery met at Cedar
town Tuesday morning. Fourteen
young people of the church here at

R. Fortune and Miss Jennie Swann.
Miss Laura Frances Steele responded
to the Welcome Address in a most
charming manner. A banner was of
