MILLER-DUNWODY.
From Thursday’s Telegraph.
The marriage of Miss Adele
Miller and Mr. John Dunwody,
Jr., was celebrated yesterday
morning at ten thirty o’clock at
, the Vineville Presbyterian
church, the Rev. Mr. Gobel
officiating.
The wedding was very quiet
on account of the illness of the
1 groom’s father, John Dunwody,
■ Sr.
1 The church was unusually
lovely, the bridal decorations of
oniAauiA aq; jo jo;
’ green and white, roses and lilies,
' combined with ferns and palms,
making a beautiful setting for
, the bridal party.
The bride entered on the arm
! of her father, who gave her in
marriage. The wedding march
; was played by Miss Lena Gut
-1 tenberger.
The bride, who is a petite
blonde of much beauty and
great charm of manner, was
lovely in her traveling suit of
brown with hat, gloves and
shoes to match. The golden
brown was very becoming to
her, bringing out her fair beau
. ty in all its loveliness.
Miss Lula Johnston was maid
of honor. Miss Johnston was
very pretty in a gown fashioned
of white marquisette, made ov
er white satin. A large picture
hat completed the costume.
The ushers were Messrs Ma
rion Dunwody and H. G. Adams.
The groom was attended by
his best man, Albert Adams.
Among the out of town guests
were J. T. Hatfield, of Irwinton,
and Mrs. E. C. Momand, of Ir

When the Republicans met at
their great convention,
Teddy Roosevelt went there, for
much contention;
But the delegates conferred, and
they did decide,
That Teddy Roosevelt, surely,
must be set aside.
And it created a very great sen
sation
For he thought he could rule
this big nation.
They took Billy Taft, who was
cruising in his boat,
And left Teddy Roosevelt floun
dering, not able to float;
Billy sails smooth, smiles and
receives many cheers,
And says Teddy, I will rule this
nation four more years
Teddy cries, Fraud, fraud, and
he then retires,
And swears Bill Taft is one of
the greatest liars.

[Announcements
TO THE WHITE VOTERS OF
WILKINSON COUNTY.
I am a candidate to succeed
myself as judge of t£e Dublin
Circuit. The primary will oc
cur next August, but as the
dockets of the Superior courts
of this Circuit contain many
cases, and as I shall endeavor to
catch up the business of the
courts, I may not have an op
portunity of seeing you and dis
cussing with you in person, the
matter of my candidacy; there
fore I write this card.
I held the position as judge
of the city court of Dublin for
three years, during which time
. the dockets and minutes of that
court show that more cases
were tried, and more business
disposed of than in any four
years prior to the time I went
on the bench.
I shall strive to discharge the
duties of judge of the Superior
courts fairly and impartially, do
equal rights to the poor and the
rich, dispose of the business as
rapidly as I can, with as little
expense to the county and as lit
tle trouble and annoyance to
the people as possible. If Ido
this, should I be defeated after
only one year’s service? If I
do this, am I not entitled, as a
matter of fairness and right to
a full term of four years?
Sincerely yours,
K. J. HAWKINS.
To the Voters of the Dublin
Judicial Circuit:
I respectfully announce my
candidacy for the office of soli
citor general of this circuit, sub
ject to the action of the Demo
cratic primary.
M. J. CARSWELL.
Jeffersonville, Ga., Feb. 3, 1912.
FOR SOLICITOR
To the Voters of the Dublin Ju
dicial Circuit:
I am a candidate for the office
of solicitor general of the Dublin
judicial circuit/subject to the re
sult of the primary election to
be held in 1912. In event of my
election I shall strive to dis
charge the duties of the office
rigidly, impartially and faith
fully.
I belive that a solicitor should
prosecute the rich and the poor,
the high and low alike. No
man’s money, nor his social or
political standing should be used
to defeat the ends of justice;
that all who violate the law
should be made to endure its
penalty.
I am in favor of abolishing
the fee system, placing solici
tors general on a salary, run
ning the courts with dispatch
and economy, strict and due en
forcement of the law, rigid ob
servance of the election law,
stamping out and forever oblit
erating the use of liquor and
money in elections; a healthy
’ sentiment that is the exponent
of the honesty and supremacy
of law and good government.
। I respectfully solicit the suf
t frage of ail the voters of the
. circuit.
, Yours truly,
: E. L. STEPHENS.
