To the Democratic Voters of the
Ocmulgee Circuit:

Commissioner for Wilkinson county
subject to the primary to be held on
the 12th of Sept. 1934. In making
this announcement I wish to say that
I desire to be county commissioner not
to gratify any political ambition of my
own but solely to be of service to my
people and my county and to use my
best efforts to see that all citizens and
all sections of the county get a square
deal in the distribution and expend
itures of all moneys and property en
trusted to the care of commissioners.
If elected I will do everything in my
power to have an economical admin
istration of all county affairs.

Sale of Timber
GEORGIA —Wilkinson County.
By virtue of an order from the
court of Ordinary of Wilkinson coun
ty, Georgia. will be sold at nublic
outcry, on the first Tuesday in July
1934, at the court house door in said
county, between the legal hours of
sale, to the highest and best bidder
for cash, All the pine and hardwood
timber, measuring 12 inches in diam
eter 18 inches from the ground, stan->'-
ing and growing on all that tract or
parcels of land, lying, being and sit
uate in the 3*28 district, G. M., of
Wilkinson cdunty. Georgia, and de
scribed as follows: One hundred and
thirty-five acres, more or less, and
known the ‘Thomas Temples
Home Place”, and being the lands
deeded to O 8. Langford by Mrs F.
E Arrington on November Ist. 1911,
said deed being recorded in Book 20,
page 58, in the office of the Clerk of
the Superior court of Wilkinson coun
ty, Georgia, to which deed reference
is hereby made for complet description
of said lands, and said lands bounded
as follows: On the North by lands of
J. T. Davis; on the East by lands of
T. I. Langford; on the South by
lands of A. J. Davis, and on the
West by Commissioner Creek.
Also, all the pine and hardwood
timber, measuring 12 inches in diam
eter 18 inches from the ground, stand
ing and growing on the following de
scribed tract or parcel of land, to-wit:
All that tract or parcel of land,
lying, being and situate in the 328th
District. G. M., said State and county
containing (125) One hundred and
twenty five acres, more or less, and
bounded as follows: On the East by
public road leading from Mt. Carmel
to Mclntyre, byway of lands of W.
L Snow, B. Vs. Bales and John
Kempton places; on the North by oth
er lands of the estate of W, L SnoW;
West by Commissioner creek and
South by lands of Emmett Carr and
lands of Mrs H. W. Criswell, being
all of the 195 acres of the Ola Davis
lands lying on the west side of the
public road described above.
The purchaser will be given one
year from date of sale to cut and re
move said timber.

bushels of corn; said corn levied on
as the property of Juniper Bell to sat
isfy an execution issued on the 2nd

which the ancient Greeks held off the
Arabs from Constantinople for cen
turies is believed to have been a mix
ture of saltpeter, with oils and resin.
Making Steel Rustproof
Steel is made rustproof by adding
13 per cent of chromium. The dis
covery was made by a British scien
tist who was annoyed by a rusty carv
ing knife.
