Motorists To Prove Tax Payment
Before Buying License Tag
Car owners will have to prcve they
have paid uersoaal property taxes on
th^ir automobiles before being sold
license plates next year, if the Geor
gia Legislature follows a recommend
ation to be submitted by Revenue
Commissioner M- E Thompson.
The recommendation, contained in
Thompson’s report to the General
Assembly, was decided upon after a
series ot conferences this year with
local tax officials.
Thompson would inquire car own
ers to show receipt for the previous
year’s personal property tax on their
vehicles, and is one of that many re
visions of the State's tax structure he
will advocate.

But right now I’m blowing my

You know what I mean...speak

From where I sit, it’s an insult

We are glad that Mrs. John M.

was overpowered by the Flu.
It must be contagious. Almost
immediately after Lois Brewer
put on that engagement ring,
Eula Snow showed up wearing
one. These girls aren’t planning
for old maidhood to catch them
napping.
Mary Lee Snow, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Watson Snow, con

this, but she will never travel
that far alone.
