SPIRITUALLY SPEAKING
By Rev. Qotdon C. King.
DESTINY
I believe that the eternal destiny
of every man is determined by the
record of life lie himself makes. There
are no works of superogation. There
is no storehouse of good works where
a man can enter into the Kingdom of
Heaven on the life and record of an
other man. True, after we have done
all we can we are yet. unprofitable
servants. No matter how much good
we do we can never repay our Savior
and I* ather for his care and love for
us.
I have tried to speak words of com
fort to family and friend of creatures
whose life was a question to all pres
ent except God Some close member
would say ” Preacher he turned and
called on God at the last. It made us
so happy to hear it’’ . After my blund
ering remarks, as servant of God and
man, someone would sing beautifully
In The Swee^ By and By’ then all
would leave feeling that another soul
had gone to God. And I wish the same'
But it does not make sense to me.
We decide ©ur destiny in this life,
and it is settled while we have this
life and are in our right mind, and can
make a choice. No earthly offering
can make a prayer efiective enough
to pray a wicked man out of hell into
heaven. Oh, how very much it does
behoove us to live the righteous life,
to serve our God and our fellow man,
and to write a record of life that will
cause us uo shame when we stand be
fore the great Judge in eternity. !

By Walt Smith County Agent,
Two wilkinson County far
mers, Clyde Dixon and Will
Wright, were hosts to a group of
farm management students from
the University of Georgia recent
ly. The students visited the farms
of these two successful farmers
to see farm management applied
instead of depending upon the
“book’’ Many and varied ques
tions were asked, and according
to Mr. J. w. Fanning, Extension
Economist and Dr. Proctor, in
structor of the group, these two
farmers did well as subjects for
question. Many thanks to them.
Ben Vinson, smiling from ear
to ear, proudly announces that
one of his heifers in the 4 —H
Club chain is the mother of a fine
heifer calf. Congratulations!
Many farmers are getting wor
ried. about hog cholera going
strong in the county. Most likely
the average farmer will have to
inoculate before the hogs reach
market size, so the advice of this
agent is to inoculate at. 6to 8
weeks of age, before the pigs are
weaned.
There are several litters of pure
bred pigs ready for sale in the
county, if you need some good
stock hogs see this agent.
