SCANT HIP FOR SLIM HIPS—
The problem most women are faced
with this spring is how to achieve
slim hips for the new Paris silhou
ette — the Molding Line —a long
torso with molded thigh and full
ness starting below.
Inspired by the Paris trend —’
but with an eye to pleasing prac- 1
tical American women who demand
comfort —Formfit created its Scant
Hip girdle which pares the thigh
line with ease. The secret of its
hip-slimming feature is an extra
piece of cleverly curved elastic
that follows the hipline down and
whittles away inches and inches.'
Another innovation is the elimina
tion of boning through the unique
cut of the concave front panel. The
reverse stretch elastic waistband
causes it to fit snugly and prevents
rolling over.
Harmonizing with the design in?
terest in necklines, the Life bra
was created for deep V decolletage
and halter-type toys without,
sleeves. -

Mrs. Peter Soutar, Des Plaines, Hl., hit the jackpot when her doctor
advised her to take up a relaxing hobby for her health. She began to
make stuffed animals and other handiwork from colorful print cotton
bag material. Her work was so popular that Mrs. Soutar found herself
taking orders as fast as she could fill them. Now Mrs. Soutar has a
thriving business—which already has provided a college education for
her daughter.
