Leigh is to have two 1950-51
exhibitions in New York this win
ter at the Grand Central Art
Galleries. If you write to his wife,
who is the founder of the Tra
phagen School of Art at 1680
Broadway, New York, she will
send you the dates, when they are
announced, and invitations to the
exhibits, for she is also one of her
husband’s most enthusiastic fans.
MRS L F- BROWN
Final rites for Mrs. L. F.
Brown of Dublin were held Sat
urday morning at the Irwinton
church and burial w a s in old
Bethel cemetery. The Rev. J. E.
Townsend officiated.
Mrs. Brown, the mother of
Fred Frown of Dublin, died in a
Dublin hospital Thursday p.m.
after an illness of several weeks.
She was born and reared in V\ il
kinson County and lived there
until the death of her husband in
1930. Since that time she has re
sided with her only son. in Dub
lin.
She was a member of Irwinton
Baptist Church and was very
prominent in the affairs of her
community.
Survivors include her son, two
sisters, Mrs. Ada Mason of Atlan
ta. and Mrs J J Shepherd of Ir
winton; grandchildren, Carolyn
and Howard Brown of Dublin
and Harold Brown, U. S. Army
in Germany.

Mr Henry Adkins is ill in the
veteran’s hospital in Dublin; Miss
Bessie Adkins is a patient at the
Binion ' linic and Mr Joe Skelton
is also at Dr. Binion’s M e send

covery.

of providing funds for financing
in whole or in part the cost of
acquiring and constructing a wa
ter works system, and any citiz
