Mrs. Culpepper and Mrs. Mathis
also attended the Camellia Show in
Marshallville Wednesday.

The Spring Conference of the
Sixth District Congress of Pa
rents and Teachers will be held
Thursday Feb- 28, at Perry High
School at 10:30 a m.
Mrs. C. T. Mc'orkle Sixth Dist.
Director, and Mrs. E. P. Staples,
pres, of Perry P T A will preside.
An interesting program has
been planned, and new officers
for the district will be elected
and installed.
Mrs. McCorkle is urging each
organization in the dist. to send
a large delegation to the Perry
meeting.
The Sixth District is composed
of associations in eleven counties
inc. Wilkinson.

Funeral services were conduct
ed at 2p. m. Saturday at Union
Church in Irwinton for Edward
Crutchfield. 74, whose death oc
curred Thursday in a Milledge
ville hospital. Burial was in the
Masonic Cemetery, Irwinton.
Survivors include one brother,
Shelton Crutchfield of Toomsbo
ro and one sister, Mrs. Lelia
Meadows of*Macon.

The Danville PTA observed a
a Founders’ Day program at the
school library Wednesday. Mrs.
Marvin B-Jack presided and the
inspirational message was given
by David J. Griffen Jr.
Delegates elected to attend the
Spring conference in Perry Feb.
28 were Mrs Dennard Thompson
and Mrs. John Moore with Mrs.
Elmer Ellington and Mrs. George
Gray as alternates.
Danville, Ga. — The Rev. Jimmy
Waters of Macon was the guest
speaker at the meeting of Cool
Spring Lodge F. and A M No.
185 on last Friday night. Wives
of Masons were invited to hear
the Rev. M aters and they served
supper, preceding the meeting.

Circle met Monday night Feb. 11
with Mrs William Mitchiner
with five members present.
An interesting program on the
Ministry of Prayer was given by

Mrs Jack Redwine, Mrs. Clar
ence Hardie, Mrs Arthur Wil
liams and Mrs. Mitchiner.
At the close of the meeting
delicious salad plate was served
by the hostess assisted by her
young son, Tommie.

the home of Mrs. A. K.
Mathis with Mrs. O. W. Bell as
co-hostess. Beautiful flower ar
rangements of Camellias. Narcissi
and Daffodils were admired, by
members and guests. We were
delighted to have as visitors Mrs,
Tom Falkner, Mrs. Roy Landers,
Mrs J.W, Holland, and Mrs. Glo
ver Hudson of Mclntyre, and
Mrs. Herbert Holliman, Mrs. Mc-
Affee and Mrs. Clyde Dixon of
Toomsboro.
Tentative plans were made at
this meeting for a flower show
to be given the first week in May
if the roses bloom according to
schedule
The Valentine Motif was ob
served in the program following
the business session and in the
dainty salad course served bv the
hostess during the social hour.

Larry Bloodworth, eight month-old
son of Mr. and Mrs- H. M. Blood
worth of Mclntyre, died early Tues
day at the residence.
Funeral services were held at the
Mount Carmel Cemetery Wednesday
morning with the Rev. Joe A. Moore
officiating.
Survivors include his parents; one
brother, Charles Edward Bloodworth;
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey
Vinson and Mr. and Mrs. Ivey Blood
worth; great grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Bloodworth and Mrs Min
nie Vinson, all of Mclntyre.
Mrs- E.C. Byington is going to Atlan
ta today to a specialist fora check up.
We join her many friends in good
wishes for an early recovery.
