Miss Joyce Williams became the
bride of Pvt. Frank E. Massencale at a
ceremony at her home near Jrwinton
Feb. 15 with the Rev. Jeff Corbitt offi_
ciating in the presence of both families
and close friends.
The bride is the daughter of Mr, and
Mrs. F. Williams. She is teaching in
the High School in Jeffersonville.

The Toomsboro WSCS met Monday
afternoon with Mrs. W, A, Hall as
hostess.
Mrs. Herbert Holliman, president,
gave the Devotional and conducted the
business meeting. Plans being made
for the Officers Training day to be held
at the church Monday, March 10; al
so for the Quarterly Meeting that
Toomsboro will be hostess to on Sun
day, March 9. Mrs. Clyde Herndon
was in charge of the Bible Study,
“Poetry and Wisdom.” Mrs. A. L.
Branan, vice president, presented a
life membership to Miss Nina Beck
from the Society*

resented 39 of the Company’s
gross receipts from the sale of
electric powerlin 1951 to resident.

The payment is made under the
company’s municipal partnership
agreement with the city.
The payment for 1950 was $348.94.
The Georgia Power Company’s
entire tax bill for 1951 amounted
to approx. $14,800,000. This does
not include the Ga. 39 sales tax
paid on materials and equipment
purchased by the company.
The total amount to be paid
under the municipal partnership
plan is expected to increase from
$1,145,000 in 1951 to more than
$1,320,000 in 1952.

Mrs. Ed Dixon, who lived here for
many years before moving to Warner
Robins, bas suffered a stroke and was
taken to Richard Binion Clinie, Mill
edgeville. Her daughter, Mrs. Lucille
Reyneolds, is a patient at the same
hospital.
Mrs. Ralph Culpepper Jr. returned
home Wednesday from the hospital
after a few day’s stay. She is said to
have had a touch of pneumcnia.
Mr. and Mrs J. E Butler and Lin
da. who have been vacationing in
Florida, spent the weekend with rela
tives here before returning to Wash
ington Miss Adelyn Butler also spent
the weekend at home.

Mrs. Lou Ella Brooks Stinson,
widow of Ira B. Stinson, died in
a Macon hospital early Sunday
after an illness of several months
She was a former resident of
Gordon, Ga. where she was well
known and active in church and
WMU work for many yvears. She
‘was born in Wilkinson County,
the daughter of *J o h n Wesley
Brooks and Mrs. Narcissus Sand
ers Brooks.
. Mrs. Stinson moved to Macon
five years ago and became a
member of the Tatnall Square
Buptist Church there.
Funeral services were held at
4 p m Tuesday in the Tatnall
Square Baptist Church and bur

MARVIN A. JACKSGN
. Marvin A. Jackson, 31, of Ir
winten, died in a Milledgeviile
hospital early Sunday. Funeral
services were held Monday after
noon at New Providence church.
He is survived by his wife;
three sons, Marvin Jr , John and
Grady: four daughters, Dolores,
Loraine, Annette, and Doris: two
sisters, Mrs. J. B. Collins of Ma
conand Mrs. A. W. Passmore of
Valdosta; two brothers, Fertram
and Edison Jackson and mother,
Mrs. J. A. Jackson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mar
garet Bloodworth Brannan, 90,
were held today ia the Methodist
Chureh at Sandersville. Inter.
