On account ot because Sheriff
George Hatcher was re-elected
Sidney Stubbs had to roll Avery
Parker all the way from Mcln
tyre to Irwinton, aboard a wheel
barrow with a sizeable string of
cars full of people lending moral
support. When they reached the

be as tired of riding as Stubbs
was of walking.

were discussed for the county-wide
Flower Show to be held the first we?k

clubs and flower lovers in the county
will join us to make a success of this
show. Mrs. Culpepper, our president,
told of the planting of bulbs on the
streets^of Marshallville and how she
wished we could do likewise’’ in Ir"
winton. There are plenty of bulbs in
town, and if each one of us would
plant our own sidewalks and replace
the dogwood trees that died, how very
attractive our town would be!
Mrs. Player read an interesting pa.,
per on "The Shaded Garden.”
