HEALTH NOTES X
Georgia farmers are fast turn
ing to live stock raising. The Un
iversity of Georgia is setting up
a cattle nutrition research labor
atory to help in this work. They
are advised to feed their live !
stock a well-balanced diet for
best production.
Cattle are like human beings in
that they require good food to 1
make healthy animals. 4-H Club (
boys and Future Farmers of Am- /
erica take pride in winning blue I
ribbons for their efforts to feed |
their prize animals. They know ’
that green grass and hay aie
needed with a cotton seed mix
ture to make a diet which com
pares with foods like meat, eggs,
milk and green vegetables which
we eat.
Even a child with a pet knows
it likes milk. No child wants a
“ nubbin ” for a pet! Children
know soldiers like milk. Boys
and girls, if you do not want to
be “ nubbins ”, you should select
green vegetables and fruit, eggs,
meats and plenty of milk to have
clear skin, glossy hair, and bright
eyes. These are the points that
judges use when selecting your
winners.
Don’t U want to be a Winner ? ?
