We went to see the Dixieland’s
Restaurant this morning, and as
this was our first peek inside
since the furnishings and equip
ment has been installed, we real
ly “got an eyeful!”
To begin, the whole brick
building.- restaurant, kitchen, of
fice rest rooms and cabins, have
white tiled floors and the side
walls in the kitchen are of white
tile all the way to the ceiling.
The building is air conditioned
throughout and meets all the
State specifications of cleanliness
and sanitation. We found that
the stainless steel kitchen equip
ment,- the huge refrigerator, tri
ple sink, work tables and cold
drink box were all manufactured
in our old home town, Jonesboro
The color scheme for the res
taurant is red, white and blue.
The booth seats are deeply cush
ioned in foam rubber with attrac
tive plastic upholstering. The
