of the class piay. '‘The Deacon”
which was rendered to a capacity
house on Friday night. April 6th.
From the applause and laugliter
everyone in the audience enjoved
the evening throughly. Outstand
ing among the characters were
the two comedians ‘'Pete’’ play
ed by Stewart Carpenter ard
*the Deacon’’, played by Bennie
McCallar. The Senior class and
Myr. Hacke wish to thank the
faculty, the boy scouts, and all
others who assisted in making
the play a success.
After the play the P. T. A,
served refreshments,
The seniors have selected their
diplomas, invitations, moto; "'The
elevator to success is not running;
take the stairs;” ciass coloi ¢
Pink and VWhite; and the class
flower: Pink Rose.
The junior class has ordered
copiesof the play: ‘‘The Empty
House” which will be given as a
class play on the night of May 18.
The faculty is practicing on a
play: “The Chintz Cottage’ to be
given on April 27,
On Wednesday, April 4th, Mr.
Hacke, Miss Lang and Mr. and
Mrs. King. went to Black Creek
toa P. T. A. meeting, At this
time a Bryan county P. T. A ‘
council was organized. The first|
meeting will be held at Clyde on
April 21 at 10:30 A. M. All inter
ested are invited to attend.

| Cross and K. J. Bevan in 1892 and cer
tain inventions developed in 1900. By
1910 viscose had a strong start.

i Horses were not known to the In
dians prior to the advent of the white
man in America. The first horses seen
| by the mainland Indians were those of
| the Spanish invaders of Mexico. A few
| years later De Soto brought the horse
| into Florida and westward to the Mis
sissippi, while Coronado, in 1541, in
froduced it to the Indians of the Great
Plains. :
