Just 61 years ago today, the first World War
officially ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day
of the lllh months. The war had cost the world
37,508,686 military causal! ies, immeasureable
human suffering, and billions of dollars; when
hostilities ceased, there was deep rejoicing... When
you hear the whistles blow today, preserve a mo
ment of silence in honor of the Armistice and in
hope that peace will one day he permanent.

Curley Lawson's cousin f rom hark
East and a few of us got talking
when he was here visiting, anti I
couldn’t help noticing how different
he said things.

what he was trying to say. It
just depends on where you are in
the U. S., which way sounds right.
From where I sit, whenever ws
criticize someone for sounding fun
ny to us, we ought to think how we
sound to them. It’s the same as
choosing your liquid refreshment.
