mountains and is not likely to

LEACH DEAD
Died at His Home Near Sumach Last
Sunday About 7 O’clock p. m.—
Interment at Sumach.
On last Sunday nighi at 7p.m.
the spirit of Dr. ThomaS Leach
wended its way heavenward,
Micro to rejoice among the angels
in that city Eternal.
There was not nor never has
been a man in Murray county
more widely and more jlavorabl v
known than Dr. Loach, and the
hundreds of friends w ill hear of
Ids death with a pang of sorrow.
l)r*Lcach, as a physician, w'as
a success, as was all his under¬
takings in local life. As a pub¬
lic man lie had no superior. He
was elected to represent Murray
in the legislature without oppo¬
sition, which speaks for itself as
to his popularity.
He had been in feeble health
for several years and his death
was not unexpected.
His death was due to blood
poison.___

Borrowed Horse and Buggy.
About two weeks ago a man
borrowed a mare and buggy from
E. W. Markin for a couple of
day and has not returned them.
It is mighty hospitable, people
will tell you, to take a man in
out of the wet and give him
something to eat and all such
stuff, but occasionally you will
turn a dog into your house dress¬
ed in a man’s attire as was in
ting case.
Mr, Markin had taken him in
given him some work, and
after getting pretty well into Mr.
Markin’s good graces, borrowed
the horse ami buggy and “lit a
shueh” for parts unknown.
