PASSES
End Came Peacefully After
Brief Illness.

at one o’clock the spirit, of W. J,
Johnson, took its flight into
Great Beyond.

health for several months, and
while bis physicians had warned
him of his danger, noone thought
of his being in such a serious
condition.
He attended to business on
Tuesday, being in better spirits
seemingly, than he had been, for
some time—laughing and joking
with his friends. About0 o’clock,
just after supper, lie was sudden¬
ly stricken with paralysis caus¬
ing him to completely lose use
of his left side. He however,
never lost consciousness until
Thursday morning and did never
realize his condition.
He seemed to think that there
was nothing very serious the
matter with him and that be
would be able to attend to Ims
iness in a day or two.
About four o’clock Thursday
morning he sank into a deep
sleep a, id those by his bedside
thought he was getting a much
needed rest, not having slept
any since lie was stricken. But
he never rallied, and at one
o’clock he passed away. In tl.e
demise of W. J. Johnson, the
church has lost one of ff.s roost
