FAMILY FEUD CAUSES MURDER

reached town. Humphrey and
Daniel have had several diffieul-

marriage was the beginning ol
the ill feeling which led to the
tragedy Saturday. Humphery has
made no statement, but it seems
t hat the two men met Saturday
morning, and hot words ensued.
Mr. Humphrey drew bis gun and
Mr. Daniel attempted todriveofl
when Humphery fired, killiuf
him instantly.
The funeral of Mr. Daniel took
place from his residence Sunday
afternoon at 8:80 o’clock.
The Daniels are among the
most prominent and influential
citizens of Jenkins county.
Mr. Humphrey has a wife and
two little sons. lie is a quiet
and unobtrusive man. lie sur¬
rendered immediately after the
tragedy.

are expected at the trial.

Gin company have declared a di¬
