The Augusta cotton exchange
has passed a resolution con¬
demning the cotton reports is¬
sued by the government. The
Augusta exchange thinks that
the information obtained by the
government should not be with¬
held from the public, but given
out as soon as received, so as to
prevent a panic. The resolu¬
tions will be forwarded to the
department at Washington and
also to the different exchanges
throughout the south.
