Official Organ of City and County
lubsctiptiou, fl.OO per year ; si* mouths, 60 c;

MAX A. UI0TKIU KD1TOB.
THIRTY YEARS OLD.
The News with this week’s
issue is beginning its thirty
first year.
its present name is only a
few years old.
This publication has been
published under several differ
ent names, such as The Mur¬
ray County Gazette, The
North Georgia Times and The
Spring Place Jimplecute.
We give a list of those who,
in time, have been interested
in its publication: Mr. F. S.
Boiscinir,originator, Mr. Mc¬
Nally, Mr.Ignitius Hix, Col.
C. N. King, Col. Trammell
Starr, Col. W, C. Martin,Mr.
S. I’>. Carter,Mr. J. C. Heart
sell, Col. C. L. Henry, Col.
J. L. Edmondson, Col. S. P.
Maddox, Mr. C. H. Davis,
Mr. R. M. Gudger and Mr.].
E. Johnson.
Several publications have
been started in opposition to
it, but they never lasted a
great while, yet they were
edited by men of good busi¬
ness judgment.
While the publication was
running under the name of
The Spring Place Jimplecute
The Murray News sprang up,
but the two were shortly con¬
solidated under the former
name and remained under that
title until the present owners
bought the plant, when its
name was again changed, this
time to its present name.
The present name suits the
publication very well, for, in
fact, it is Murray news, as we
have numerous writers over
the county who, with their
able pens, have helped large¬
ly in making it what it is to¬
day, and we are under many
obligations to them for their
earnest support and we are
glad to state that the) will
continue to send in their ar¬
ticles.
As the publication was thir¬
ty years old with last week’s
issue, we shall earnestly en
deavor to trm<e its thirty-first
year the most 'prosperous in
its history, but in order to do
tins vve shall need help, and
we are going to ask the co¬
operation of the correspond¬
ents, the subsciibers and the
advertisers.
We nre very reliably in¬
formed that with this week’s
issue of the Chatsworth Pro¬
gress another man, Mr. Will
S. Cox will be editor in-chief
of that sheet, and we predict
for it greater prosperity under
his leadership.
Whenever you feel that your
stomach has gone a little wrong,
or when you feel that it is not in
good order as is evidenced by
mean headaches nervousnees,
bad breath, and belching, take
something at times, and espe¬
cially after your meals until re¬
lief is afforded. There is noth¬
ing better offered the public
today for stomach troubles, dys¬
pepsia, indigestion, etc., than
icODOL. This is a scientific
preparation of natural digestants
combined with vegetable acids
and contains the same juices
found in every liealty stomach.
KODOL is guaranteed to give
relief. It is pleasant to take; it
will make you feel fine by di¬
gesting what you eat. Sold by

MAKE THIS ACCORDING
TO THE DIRECTIONS
Prepare It at Home By Shaking
Ingredients Well In a Bottle.
What will appear very inter¬
esting to many people here is
the article taken from a New
York daily paper, giving a simple
prescription, as formulated by a
noted authority, who claims that
he has found a positive remedy
to cure almost any case of back¬
ache or kidney or bladder de¬
rangement, in the following
simple prescription, if taken
before the stage of Bright’s die
ease:
Fluid Extract Dandelion, one
half ounce; Compound Kargon,
one ounce; Compound Syrup
Sarsaparilla, three ounces. Shake
well in a bottle and take in
teaspoonful doses after each meal
and again at bedtime.
A well-known druggist here at
home, when , asked , , regarding . this
prescription, stated that the in¬
gredients are all harmless, anc
be obtained at a small cost
from any good prescription phar¬
macy, or the mixture would be
up if asked to do so. He
further stated that while this
prescription is further prescribe!
in rheumatic afflictions wit
splendid results, he could see no
reason why it would not be a
splendid remedy for kidney and
urinary troubles and backache,
as it has a peculiar action upon
the kidney structure, cleansing
these most important organs and
helping them to sift and filter
the blood the foul acids and
matter which cause sick
and suffering. Those of our
readers who suffer can make no
mistake in giving it a trial.
