A charter is to be applied for

tive way, but has taken no steps

meeting and the police will be

Mr. Jas. Cavinder, of Gladdis
town, committed suicide at his
home byjshooting himself in the
head with a gun. It is supposed
that temporary insanity was the
cause of the deed.
During a thuuder storm, light¬
ning struck the tower of the
Georgia Normal and Industrial
College,Milledgeville. No great
damage was done, the amount
not exceeding a few hundred
dollars, fully covered by insur¬
ance.
