LETTER FROM TEXAS.

Dear Editor:—
I have seen letters from dif
ferent parts of Texas, but, have
| never seen any from this
! I have been all over tins part of
| the country, and thought i

as my home, as you all will see
when I get through.
This is a beautiful

corn and it is in silk and tassei.
I have been working in a two
j hundred acre field of corn, and
■ three hands worked it all. I
I rode around a little last week, i
: went to the Hardeman County
i Immigration farm. There is ten
thousand acres in this farm and
twenty-two hundred in Alfalfa
I saw nine mowers and eleven
rakes running right, together, be
sides others running in different
parts of the farm. They cut, the
Alfalfa six times a year, and it
averages one ton per acre each
cutting and sells for $15 a ton
I wish my Georgia friends could
have the pleasure of seeing the
process of farming in this coun¬
try. Well all you have to do to
stand in with the Texas girls w

and if you Georgia girls want to
