On Wednesday the 25th inst, Mr.
f or ire L. Harlan and Mis« Ora Ram
sev were united in matrimony at the
home of the bride's fattier.
It whs a quiet home atlair and only a
few relatives and friends of the con¬
tracting parties were present. As the
maids of honor, Misses Jessie and May
Ramsey, a cousin and sister of the
bride entered the parlor, followed by
the bridal pair, the wedding march was
rendered by Mias Mary Fite, a most ac¬
complished musician, and while its
sweet notes were failing in low soft ca¬
dences, Rev. J. G. Orr read the mar¬
riage services in a solemn and most
impressive manner.
Iloral decorations of ivey, ferns and
rare exotics, with rich autumn foliage
for a hack ground presented an effect
that was both elegant and beautiitl.
Mrs. Harlan is a lady of charming
personality and greatly admired for her
amiable trails of character.
Mr. Harlan is mm of Gordon county’s
best citizen* and in every way deserve*
