Dunn, Ga, May 27 —The school
at this place clesed last Friday.
The closing exercises were largely
attended, and all present, seemed
to enjoy themselves. The vuca
tion will last until the 2nd Monday
in July, An effort is being made
to build several dormitories. We
hope by the time the school opens
again there will bo several good
dormitories.
Pleasant Valley is a thriving
little place, we have a general
store, dentist office, dingstore,
doctor’s shop, two blacksmith
shops, grist mill, cotton gin, Bap¬
tist church and a first-class senool,
It is feared that all the cotton is
killed by the recent cold weal her,
Rev. John F. Cox preached to a
large audience at Holly Creek last
