Mrs. Florence Lowiv, of Dalton, and
Mrs, Ora Galt and son visited the family

tonville, Fla., are spending a short
while on their farm west of the city.
Mr. Roy Vance, formily of Spring
Place, but now of Dalton, spent last
Sanday here to the delight of his best
girl.
Dr. Hoffaker and family, of Daisy,
Tenn., and Miss Orr, of Chattanooga,
have been on a visit to the family of
’Squire Daily.
Misses Lena and Nevada Heartaill, of
Cleveland, Tenn., have been spending
the week with their uncle and aunt at
this place, Judge Temple and lady.
Dr. Bagwell carried his wife and son
to visit her parents in Cherokee county
the latter part of the past week. He re¬
turned to his practice here Monday.
Dr. Chastain hopes to li3ve a very suc¬
cessful meeting at the Murray camp¬
ground this year. New tents will be
built and numerous other improvements
be made.
Jack Keith says there will be a very
large picnic near Oran next Saturday
and Bill Black extends an invitation to
all the young people an I the old ones,
too. Bring your dinner.
From the present outlook not mere
than half a crop of cotton will be made
in Murray county this year. Reports
on the condition of the crop from ail
parts of the state are very discouraging.
The voters of Murray county will
please notice the announcement of Bob
Anderson for Treasurer in this issue.
