We hear that the fool log across Holly
Creek just below Gunter’s crossing
washed out last night.
It is pretty well understood that there
will be a wedding in town to day. We
will rive the particulars next week.
Our section is last putting on a role
of green, and all are busy as bees at¬
tending to t he usual duties of spring¬
time.
Sunday School was well abended and
the lesson very interesting. It will
meet next Sunday in the morning before
preaching.
Wa have not organized a ‘‘Working¬
man’s Club” yet, but may do so soon.
When we do, we will exchange ideas
with Brother “Nip.”
Dr. Edgar Jackson, our enterprising
dentist, is iu the village and will remain
several days. All wishing work in Ins
line will do well to call oil him.
The fishing party last Saturday was a
splendid success. A fish was brought
to shore on one line over three feet
long, and another line was found a Inigo
turtle four feet around.
A number of our young folks spent a
few hours Thursday night at Bio. W K.
Dawn’s. Ten or twelve lbs. of candy
was consumed, and itasweetneas enjoy¬
ed to die fullest extent. Your corres¬
pondent was present, and shared the
tieat.
Easter paid ua its annual visit last
Sunday and brought the Uncle usual number
of boild eggs wit), it. Peter and
I took dinner with Aunt Mary Hunt
sucker. In tbe center of the table was
a large dish of colored eggs, red, blue,
green, yellow and violet. They were
beautiful to behold, and tasted more
delicious than they looked.
