hours last Thursday.
Mrs. Sylvester Kilgore died Monday
morning and was buried Tuesday.
J. A. Loony was here Monday on his
way to the upper portion of the county.
Rev. Bill Brown, of Tilton, was in
town Thursday attending to some busi¬
ness,
Mrs. E. A. Fincher is now living with
her d aughter, Mrs. J. L. Robinson, in
this place.
John H. I), O’Niel, of Dunn, came
down Thursday and spent the day with
his friends in town.
Capt. Rembert and family an.* now
comfortably established in their old
home south of town.
Messrs. W. I). Heart sill and W. H .
Bagiev, vi Ball Ground, were here
Thursday on business. -
Hustling Joab Humphrey, of Chatta¬
nooga. was here last Friday in the inter¬
est of Davenport & Chambers,

into the Maddox House and will serve

J . F. Coleman, of North Carolina,and
Miss. Bertie Spivy were married last
Sunday, Squire James Campbell per¬

gone to the home of the bridegroom.
John Quarles and Dave Butler, two of
the parties charged with the hanging of
Henry Worley, were found guilty last
Saturday and Tuesday Judge Newman
sentenced them to a term of five years
each in the penitentiary. The other
cases are not yet set for a hearing but ii
is understood that W. C. Glenn will
carry the kiiling branch of the case to
the supreme court on the grounds that
