In ail examination field in
Nashville Tennesseee a few
days ago for a schollarship in
the Peabody Normal College
of that city, Miss Lula Glad¬
den secured the prize. There
was 25 or 30 applicants for
the place and among them
several graduates but Miss
Lula succeeded in passing the
best examination and getting
the, schollarship. We con¬
gratulate Miss Lula on her
success.
On last Friday morning this
entire community was shock
ed and saddened to learn of

Edmondson was one of the

Georgia and counted his friends

Edmondson was always true
to his friends. He was only
sick some three or four hours
before his death. He leaves
a wife and a number of chil .
dren to mourn his loss. We
join his many friends in sym
pathizing with the bereaved
ones.
