HESBITT VINDICATED.
The report circulated by
the Dahlonega Signal that Col,
R. T. Nesbitt would not car¬
ry his own county, Cobb, is
far from the tacts. Jf what
we gather is true, Col. Nes¬
bitt will carry the county by a
very large majority. Why
sholdn’t he do so? Why
shouldn’t his his home people
and neighbors give him their
support? He is an upright,
Christian gentleman, pays his
debts, is highly educated and
worthy of the position to which
he aspires. Having filled pub¬
lic offices, it is natural that he
should have made some ene¬
mies. What man hasn’t made
enemies? What lawyer,
preacher, doctor editor, farm¬
er or merchant but what has
made enemies in some way?
This is unavoidable, and Col.
Nesbitt expected to find ene¬
mies fighting him, but he has
friends, too, who will stand
by him and give him such a
safe majority in Cobb county
as will be worthy of appreci¬
ation. Cobb county should
not go back on this worthy
son, and will not. Col. Nes¬
bitt. if elected, will fill the of¬
fice of Agricultural Commis¬
sioner wisely and well and to
the best interests of the pec
p!e
For tne Signal to misrepre¬

not right.— Marietta Journal,
The Dahlonega Nesbitt’s Signal com¬
menting on Col race
Commissioner of Agri¬
culture says the people of his
county refuse to aid him
the race. It is true that
opposition has develop*
in his home county, but to
assert that the county is a unit
him is far from the
fact, for we fee! certain that
Mr. Nesbitt will carry Cobb
in the coming primary. We
have no fight fo make
**n Mr. Stephens, but wc *Io
not like to see the facts so
warped as to be hurtful to any
citizen. Col. Nesbitt is in the
race to stay and has much en
couragement from all over the
state,— Cobb County Courier.
