has returned to her home, at
Sumach, having spent a de¬
lightful visit of several days
at the home of Col C. L.
Henry in Spring Place.
Sam, the eleven year old son
of Marion Kendrick, of Cisco,
is confined to his bed with a
{undevelopedcase of smallpox.
All necessary precaution is be

of the disease.
Notice was received here
Tuesday from the authorities
of Hico, Texas, that John
Blassingame had been arrest¬
ed and lodged in jail at. that
place to await instructions
from the officials here as to
bringing him back to this
county. As there is a reward
for his capture Sheriff Groves
directed the parties to bring
him here at their own expense
and it is expected that they
will arrive with him in a few
days.
