aboard the attack aircraft car
rier USS Kitty Hawk, current
ly conducting sea trials off the
Pacific coast.
The 80,000 ton super-carrier
recently completed an exten
sive eight month overhaul at
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard,
Bremerton, Wash.
Following completion of the
sea trials the Kitty Hawk will
return to San Diego, Calif., for
duty with the U.S. Pacific Fleet.

MORON, Spain—Airman First
Class Donald H. Parris, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Parris
of 101 Parris St. Forest Park,
has been decorated with the
U.S. Air Force Commendation
Medal here.
Airman Parris was awarded
the medal for meritorious
achievement at Moron. He was
cited for his part in adminis
tering first aid to a motor
cycle accident victim and ulti
mately saving the cyclist’s life.
The airman is a graduate of

Park Recreation A League Championship In College Park.
They played 12 games without a loss, beating the following
teams: Newton Estates, S. R. Young, The Meadows, Kathlen
Mitchell-1, Kathlen Mltchell-2, Kathlen Mitchell-3. All these
Forest Park High. His wife,
Gale, Is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. James Morrison of
